Gispi celebrates the victory of "Bolognese"
Prato, November 8, 2025 – The "Bolognese" team is staying in Prato: the Gispi youth rugby players won the 2025 edition of the tournament dedicated to the memory of the young rugby player who passed away at just 19 in 2005. The latest "Francesco Bolognese Memorial," held in Prato between the Coiano and Chersoni facilities, saw, as usual, some of Italy's best U14 teams compete. The "gispolotti" prevailed, defeating their cousins from Sesto in a final that couldn't fail to make the Cavalieri Union happy, considering the top players from both sides who will be joining the "all-black" youth system in a few years. Capitolina took third place, ahead of Florentia, Livorno, L'Aquila, Parma, Napoli, Primavera Roma, and Lions Amaranto, Parabiago, and Modena. Matteo Vicinelli, captain of Gispi, finally won the "Targa Guido Marchettini" named after the club's historic president, which rewards the best player of the competition.
